Value of Trade with China Grew 1368% in Five Years

The value of Australia’s trade with China, its biggest economic partner, has increased 1368% over the past five financial years to $33.49bn in 2012/13 from $2.81bn in 2008/09, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

But its Composition of Trade Report 2013 found that Australia’s trade with China increased only 0.4% between 2011/12 and 2012/13.
